Sweet Alien Carrots!

Today I harvested all my carrots. I am truly surprised by their shapes and sizes. Definitely too small. This batch was grown in a small pot in using herb and veggie soil pot. They get plenty of sunlight and water. I believe the small size is due to too much competition in the same pot. As a consolation, they taste great though.

Iceberg Lettuce

This is the harvested look of first successful pot of Iceberg lettuce. Iceberg lettuce grows much slower than Pok Choy. From seedlings to this size, it takes 2 months. It's very satisfying to eat homegrown green, fresh, crunchy and organic.

These chilli seedlings are grown from chilli seeds. It takes about 2 months (summer time) for them to get to this stage.

Despite constant aphids attack, Chilli No. 1 is bearing fruit nicely.

Mint Pot No. 3 and No 4. are growing nicely but rather slowly. These were transplanted using older mint roots and that might be why the growth is slower than Mint Pot 2.

Mint Pot No. 1 was trimmed bare a month ago. One month later it is ready to be harvested again.

Growing more Pok Choy in DIY greenhouse

For combating aphids, I am keeping the baby Pok Choy inside a big clear plastic container. I don't fully cover them, if I do they'll burn. I tape a big black plastic bag on top of the plastic container to avoid overheating the veggie.

Carrot Growth

Spring Onion = Easy Growing

Spring onion is really hardy and easy to grow. I bought a pack of spring onion with roots from a local market. I kept the roots after some cooking and grew them in a pot. Growth was visible after just 1 day of planting them. This pot is about 3 weeks old.

Chilli Pot Growth

This chilli pot has been under constant aphid attack. The slow growth is showing. Fertiliser has been added 5 days ago, shall wait and see if it will improve from here.

Water Spike for Pot Plant

Recently I bough water spikes for my veggie in pots. I think they are great, drip feeding my plant slowly and keep soil moisture level stable. As a result, my potato is showing healthy growth.
